November
29, 2008 ''Arte del Barrio' is proud to
be back in Miami's art scene with its seventh multimedia art
show on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 7 p.m. partnering with
the Miami Museum of Science. At this event, renowned local artists
unite their talents and creativity around a historic national
moment: The US elections.
"WE,
the People": the most fundamental phrase of the U.S. Constitution
will be used as a medium for finding the pulse of America in
a creative and artistic way. In their works, more than 20 multimedia
artists will use visual and performing arts to delve into all
kinds of civil, ideological, social, and moral declarations
and symbols that influence the American identity and its broader
role in world history. The outcome of such expression will be
as pluralistic as society itself as artists have been invited
to toy with this nation's civil, ideological, social, and moral
symbols in whatever positive or negative light they see fit.
